There is a gen­er­al ban on weapons with­in the fest­iv­al grounds. We ask that you refrain from car­ry­ing knives, bladed weapons, blunt weapons or any oth­er items that might fall under the defin­i­tion of the Weapons Act. Such items can­not be held in safe­keep­ing either. 

Excep­tions to this ban apply exclus­ively to pre-registered mem­bers of Wittenberg’s long-estab­lished clubs and to guest clubs offi­cially invited by the City of Wit­ten­berg. The indi­vidu­als con­cerned may carry his­tor­ic­al bladed and thrust­ing weapons solely as part of his­tor­ic­al re-enact­ments; they must be registered by name in advance and be clearly iden­ti­fi­able to secur­ity staff by means of dis­tinct­ive markings. 

Pho­to­graphs and video foot­age will be taken dur­ing the event. These will be used for pub­lic rela­tions pur­poses and to report on the event (e.g. on our web­site, on social media, and in the print and online media of Luth­er­stadt Wit­ten­berg Mar­ket­ing GmbH).

The pho­to­graphs and videos are taken on the basis of Art­icle 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legit­im­ate interest in pub­lic rela­tions). By enter­ing the event ven­ue, it can­not be ruled out that you may be recog­nis­ably vis­ible in the pho­to­graphs and videos.

If you do not wish to be pho­to­graphed, please speak to our pho­to­graph­ers directly.

Res­taur­at­eurs and pub own­ers are pro­hib­ited from serving alco­hol­ic drinks to any­one under the age of 16. They clearly draw atten­tion to this ban by dis­play­ing a notice set­ting out the Youth Pro­tec­tion Act, as amended in 2024. 

Due to the high num­ber of vis­it­ors expec­ted and the large size of the fest­iv­al site, many car parks in the city centre will be unavail­able as they are loc­ated with­in the restric­ted zones. Park­ing with­in the fest­iv­al area is there­fore not pos­sible. Please fol­low the sign­posted diver­sions and use the des­ig­nated park­ing facilities. 

From 10.30 am, our ded­ic­ated car park on Dob­schützer­straße (near Klinik Bosse) will be avail­able for your use.

For just €5.00, you can park with ease. The fest­iv­al site is just a few minutes’ walk away. 

Selec­tion of win­ners and collection

Luth­er­stadt Wit­ten­berg Mar­ket­ing GmbH is respons­ible for determ­in­ing the win­ners. Prizes will not be pos­ted; they may only be col­lec­ted from the offices of Luth­er­stadt Wit­ten­berg Mar­ket­ing GmbH, Markt 26.

Unless we have pub­lished spe­cif­ic terms and con­di­tions for a par­tic­u­lar com­pet­i­tion on our web­site, the fol­low­ing terms and con­di­tions apply to par­ti­cip­a­tion in com­pet­i­tions organ­ised by Luth­er­stadt Wit­ten­berg Mar­ket­ing GmbH (here­in­after ​‘LWM’) at events or online:

Accept­ance of the Terms and Conditions

By tak­ing part in com­pet­i­tions organ­ised by LWM, the par­ti­cipant expressly and bind­ingly accepts the fol­low­ing terms and conditions.

Eli­gib­il­ity

Only nat­ur­al per­sons who have reached the age of 18 are gen­er­ally eli­gible to take part and win (excep­tions will be spe­cific­ally noted). Excluded from par­ti­cip­a­tion are all LWM employ­ees, any asso­ci­ated spon­sors and their respect­ive first- and second-degree rel­at­ives, as well as their part­ners in a mar­riage-like rela­tion­ship, and finally all per­sons who are or were involved in organ­ising the promotion.

Costs

Unless oth­er­wise stated, entry to the com­pet­i­tion is via stand­ard land­line num­bers at the usu­al pro­vider-depend­ent rates. For online com­pet­i­tions, entry may also, or exclus­ively, be via the rel­ev­ant entry forms on our website.

Announce­ment of the solution

If the prize is con­tin­gent upon the cor­rect solu­tion to a task, the answer will be pub­lished on the web­site www​.wit​ten​berg​-mar​ket​ing​.de for three days fol­low­ing the end of the com­pet­i­tion. For purely online com­pet­i­tions, the answer will be pub­lished online only.

Prize han­dover

Unless oth­er­wise stated, any prize money will be trans­ferred to the account spe­cified by the win­ner with­in two weeks of the prize noti­fic­a­tion call. Unless oth­er­wise stated, non-cash prizes will be sent to the address provided by the win­ner with­in four weeks. In indi­vidu­al cases, there may be delays in deliv­ery over which LWM has no con­trol. Such delays, through no fault of LWM, do not give rise to any claims. Cash pay­ment in lieu of non-cash prizes is excluded.

Con­duct of competitions

If you take part in an online com­pet­i­tion, we will pro­cess your per­son­al data for the pur­pose of organ­ising and admin­is­ter­ing the com­pet­i­tion. This includes, in par­tic­u­lar, the selec­tion of win­ners, noti­fic­a­tion of the prize and the deliv­ery of the prize. In the event that the deliv­ery or pro­vi­sion of cer­tain prizes is car­ried out by anoth­er com­pany (e.g. a part­ner com­pany or oth­er cooper­a­tion part­ner), we will trans­fer the winner’s data to that com­pany to the extent neces­sary. Once the com­pet­i­tion has con­cluded, we will delete the data, provided that no stat­utory reten­tion oblig­a­tions pre­vent imme­di­ate dele­tion. The leg­al basis for the pro­cessing is Art­icle 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

Press/​Promotion

The win­ner under­takes to make them­selves avail­able, with­in reas­on­able lim­its, for audio, photo/​image and text pro­mo­tions as well as edit­or­i­al cov­er­age, includ­ing online, and agrees that their name may be men­tioned in this context.

Data Pro­tec­tion

LWM stores the per­son­al data sub­mit­ted by can­did­ates solely for the pur­poses of run­ning the com­pet­i­tion and will delete this data once the com­pet­i­tion has ended. Where com­pet­i­tions are organ­ised in cooper­a­tion with a part­ner, LWM will also pass on the data required for the run­ning of the com­pet­i­tion or the present­a­tion of prizes to the cooper­a­tion part­ner. The same restric­tions on use apply as for LWM.

Leg­al recourse

Leg­al recourse is excluded.
